2019 scholarship application released

Applications are now open for the 12th annual Steriline Racing / Australian Racecourse Managers Association (ARMA) scholarship.
Australian racecourse managers who are keen to build their knowledge and career in the industry are encouraged to apply.
The scholarship offers the opportunity for Australian racecourse managers to shape the future of their careers, experience cross cultural development and participate in racing culture on the global stage.
The 2019 scholarship winner will visit the racecourses of Sha Tin, Happy Valley, and Conghua, hosted by The Hong Kong Jockey Club, and will study all aspects of racecourse track management.
The scholarship will expand the recipient’s horizons, both professionally and personally, through exposure to different management styles, operational environments, climatic conditions and cultures.
Applicants must:
- be employed full time and working on the racetrack at an Australian racecourse or a Principle Racing Authority (PRA) which is a member of ARMA
- have a minimum of 3 years employment experience at a racecourse
- preferably have qualifications in the field of sports turf management or other relevant qualification.
Scholarship applications will close on Monday 12th August 2019.
The scholarship winner will be announced at the ARMA Conference to be held in Hobart in August 2019.
The scholarship program was established by Steriline Racing in 2008 with the support of the Australian Racecourse Managers Association, and the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
